Grainger makes $10k Grant to Play for All Abilities
Round Rock, Texas, June 24, 2010 – The Grainger Foundation Supports the Playfor All Abilities Park through a $10,000 donation to the Greater Round Rock Community Foundation.
“This grant will be used to support The Play for All Abilities Park” said Kami Barron, Executive Director of Greater Round Rock Community Foundation. “We support the mission to create a place for the children and their families to enjoy. We and the visionaries behind this project are grateful to The Grainger Foundation for its generosity.” This donation was recommended by Eric Butzow, Branch Manager of W.W. Grainer, Inc, from their local office in Round Rock “We understand the need for The Play for All Abilities Park in the local community and are excited to offer our support to the effort,” said Butzow. Grainger is the leading broad line supplier of maintenance, repair, and operating products in Round Rock.
Grainger approached the Community Foundation for advice as they were searching for ways to “give back” to the Round Rock community. They wanted to ensure their donation went to a deserving cause. The Play for Abilities Fund at the Foundation was created specifically to benefit the park and accepts all types of donations for the cause. The Play for All Abilities Park is designed as a place where children with disabilities and their families can play together. The park will offer specialized equipment for children with physical, mental or sensory disabilities. Play for All Abilities envisions the park as a regional one, serving all of Central Texas, and providing both a place for play and a place where health care professionals can conduct therapy sessions with their disabled clients.
All are encouraged to support this effort. Please contact the Greater Round Rock Community Foundation to do so.
