Both Sharon Prete and Rufus Honeycutt have served the community of Round Rock well

Sharon worked in the City’s Parks Department for almost 26 years, dedicating her time to her passion – creating beautiful spaces for families to gather and enjoy one another. Rufus is a member of the City Council and lends his leadership abilities to directing our community’s future.

So its no wonder that they would both want to give back to the community that they served so well and that has served them so well. Sharon created the People and Parks Fund at the Greater Round Rock Community Foundation and Rufus has created the Arts Development Fund. The People and Parks Fund allows citizens to contribute and decide collectively what park projects to fund. The Arts Development Fund will promote fine arts and cultural events that enhance the quality of life for Round Rock citizens. Through the Greater Round Rock Community Foundation, they have both found a simple way to honor their passions.
